These are the deadlines for the renewal application and the annual settlement notice that follow a construction business license. The page shows the rules for counting them and a list of estimates by settlement month.
Renewal application
The license is valid for five years from the date of permit. The deadline is 30 days before the expiry date of the validity period. Use the expiry date written on the license certificate; do not count it yourself from the permit date.
The start of acceptance differs by prefecture (for example, 3 months or 2 months before expiry). Check the guidance of the prefecture where you file.

Annual settlement notice
The deadline is within four months after the end of the fiscal year. (Construction Business Act Article 11, paragraph 2.) The list below shows the candidate deadlines for each fiscal year-end date.
There are two ways to count. Candidate 1 is the corresponding date four months after the end date (the last day of the month if that month has no such date). Candidate 2 is the last day of the fourth month counting from the day after the end date. Depending on the end date, the two can differ. Which one is correct is still being confirmed, so where they differ both dates are shown as estimates.
